With MGC3130 (i.e. the first device of the family) using a number of typically four-five receiver (Rx) electrodes and one transmit (Tx) electrode, the origin of electric field variations inflicted by the user's hand can be detected. Signals are processed by the GestIC® technology device in order to calculate the hand position relative to the sensing area in x, y, z data points, and classify the movement pattern into gestures in real time.
These are some features of MGC3130:
- Recognition of 3D hand gestures and x/y/z positional data
- High resolution of up to 150 dpi
- Integrated digital signal processing unit
- Low noise analog front end
- Frequency hopping against noise
- Digital interface
- On-chip Colibri gesture suite
